Rosenbauer America manufacturers a complete line of fire apparatus including
Brush/Mini Pumpers, Commercial and Custom Pumpers, water Tenders, Rescue

Central States was established in 1975 as a service facility, and began manufacturing fire apparatus in 1979. A totally custom manufacturer, the company specializes in extruded aluminum, stainless steel and galvanneal steel construction that have been field proven for over twenty years. General Safety has a proud tradition of quality and innovation at its modern facilities in Wyoming, Minnesota. This tradition was firmly established in 1950, when General Safety’s production work for military bases received the U.S. Army-Navy’s E Award, the highest recognition given to civilian companies. Over the course of the next four decades, the company’s reputation continued to grow. Today, General Safety is regarded as one of America’s leading providers of finely crafted, customized fire apparatus.
In
the 1990’s, executives at Central States and General Safety saw a changing
business environment – one where technological improvements has the potential to
significantly increase the efficiency and performance of fire-fighting
equipment. At the same time,
Rosenbauer International was looking to the U.S. for partners to further fuel
its global growth. Together, the
three companies formed Rosenbauer America, an enterprise with a combined history
of more than 200 years in the fire apparatus field.
Their complementary technology, design manufacturing and financial
resources give them tremendous strength, and stability in an ever changing
market.
In
January 2000, Rosenbauer America joined with R.K. Aerials.
R.K. Aerials was founded in Fremont, Nebraska in 1988.
The company quickly earned an excellent reputation as a manufacturer of
quality ladders for fire apparatus.
Nine different straight stick aerial sizes and five different platform aerials
sizes are available from R.K. Aerials in both the rear mounted and mid-mounted
configurations. R.K. Aerials has
produced aerials for fire departments throughout the U.S., Canada, China, Korea
and South America.
